aixergee: Research for the ECRA

In an international tendering procedure by the ECRA, aixergee was chosen to deliver core packages for the ECRA research project “CCS-Phase III” against strong competition of world renowned research institutes and engineering specialists. The projects aims to develop a cement production process under oxy-fuel conditions. The objective of the first package assigned to aixergee is to develop a burner design for oxy-fuel operation of a cement kiln, ensuring suitable product quality by proper flame shape, temperature and radiation properties. The objective of the second package is to develop optimized sealings for the pyro-process for oxy-fuel operation, reducing the ingress of ambient air to the maximum.
