When the unit is in operation an automatic check leads to a quick test of the settings to ensure the correct fit of the earplugs and that an adequate hearing protection and clear communication are given. If the ear protection is not adequate, the user automatically receives a warning and has to reinsert the plugs again.
The digital Active Noise Reduction (ANR) continuously monitors the ambient noise and insulates the low frequencies in real time to a reasonable level. Users can hear background noise, and even interval noise and noise peaks without harming the ears.
A connection to the radio enables the user to listen to incoming messages, even in very noisy work situations without compromising sound quality. Microphones fitted into the earplugs allow the user to hear his or her own voice so that the user can speak in a normal voice, while the person on the other walkie-talkie can hear without loss of quality and free from outside noise.
