Drymix mortar conference in India

Organized by drymix.info, the First Indian Drymix Mortar Conference took place on 27.11.2009 at The Leela ­Kempinski Hotel in Mumbai. The full day conference featured 11 lectures by (in order of appearance) ­Ardex ­Endura, Elotex, ­Poraver, Wacker, Conmix, Evonik, Aqualon, Münzing, Laticrete MYK, Kerneos and Haver & Boecker (Fig.). Before the ­official programme, Himanshu ­Kapadia, the Chairman of the Construction Chemicals Manufacturing Association of India (CCMAI) addressed the assembly with an introduction about the goals and the charter of CCMAI. One day earlier, Ferdinand Leopolder and several suppliers to the drymix mortar industry had met him, and a close cooperation, possibly the formation of a drymix mortar chapter within CCMAI was discussed. Over 90 delegates attended the conference. The participants came predominantly from India (ca. 75  %). Manufacturers of drymix mortars made up 45  % of the delegates, the second largest group were supplier‘s representatives (35  %).
