The Federal German Association of the Gypsum Industry was founded one hundred and ten years ago. To celebrate this anniversary, the association, in cooperation with “BIG”, the Federal Association for Drywall Construction, has published book of fairytales focusing on the subject of gypsum.
“We published a volume of fairytales which was extremely well received ten years ago, and we hope to continue the success we had then”, comments Hans Hesse, director of the Federal German Association of the Gypsum Industry. Honoring this tradition, the new book of gypsum fairytales, bearing the title “How the elephant and the gypsum worm made a royal couple happy”, transports readers large and small to a distant land that is just starting to perceive the benefits of drywall. The story is underpinned by colorful and imaginative illustrations from well-known artist Otmar Alt, who has also designed a matching bookmark for the association. With this new fairytale book, the organization also reflects on its one hundred and ten years of history, which has, perhaps, not exactly been a fairytale, but nonetheless includes successful evolution from the German Gypsum Association to the present-day Federal German Association of the Gypsum Industry.
Those interested can obtain the bookmark free-of-charge, and the new book of fairytales for a nominal charge of 6.00 €, from the Federal German Association of the Gypsum Industry, by telefax at +49(0)6151 36682-22, or by e-mail at info@gips.de.
